Minions Take Control: Time Travel

M: WE'RE BACK! Ashley let us out of the dungeon.

S: Don't yell so loud. Sheesh, my poor ears.

M: Your poor ears??? I'm typing.

S: Whatevah!

M: So what do you think about time-travel? Is it possible?

S: Why do you ask? Did you just get back from another year?

M: Yeah, right! Don't you read our master's books? Don't you know her new release is a time-travel?

S: Duh! Of course I know that. Why didn't you say so.

M: So?

S: So what?

M: Do you believe time-travel's possible? You know how Colleen, the heroine in Ashley's new book "Whirlwind Romance" gets sucked into a hurricane now and wakes up in the 1970's?

S: (shudder) I HATE hurricanes. Remember how Hurricane Wilma took off our roof?

M: Back to the subject. Personally, I don't think time-travel's possible. If everybody only gets one soul, and one chance at salvation, how could anyone truly be saved if someone keeps changing time?

S: You're being WAY too philosophical. Can't you just enjoy the book and stop thinking so hard?

M: So you believe in it?

S: Yeah, maybe. There's a lot we haven't learned yet. Pretend you believe. What decade would you like to time-travel to?

M: I still don't believe in it.

S: You're no fun. Can't you just play along?

M: Oh, all right... Ashley's book makes the 1970's look like a lot of fun.

S: It's hard to believe in a time without cell phones or Internet or cable TV. I don't think I'd like it. It's practically prehistoric!

M: Don't let Ashley hear you say that. She'll lock us in the dungeon again!

S: Ashley's too busy writing her next book. She's left the blog in our control. Bwahaha!

M: I hope you're right. I'm sick to death of that dungeon.

S: So you actually think it would be fun to visit the 1970's where half the adult men called themselves things like "Rubber Duck"? And the other half wanted to be John Travolta and rule the disco?

M: And drove fast cars? And weren't tied to computers all the time? Hell yeah! IF I believed in time-travel. So what decade would you want to visit?

S: I'd go back to the 1990's. Or maybe I'd travel forward in time a few hundred years.

M: That might be fun. Do you think we could talk Ashley into writing a time-travel book into the future?

S: Who needs Ashley? WE'LL write the book.

M: You can write it if you like. I don't believe in time-travel.

S: You're no fun. I'm going to read another one of Ashley's books. Later.

M: Brown noser.

S: I'm not dumb. I don't want to end up in that dungeon again.

M: You're not as dumb as you look. I think I'll read one of her books, too. Later.

Hahahahaha! Very funny. I'm looking forward to reading this. I can't wait to read about the 70s. Yes, I lived during that decade too. No cell phones, internet - but we didn't care. :)

Oh god, the seventies! I was in college and grad school, going a bit wild...

Fun blog, Ash. I like your premise. But watch out for those minions. I don't think they can be trusted.

Hugs,
Lisabet
