Thursday Thirteen: edition 18 - website designs I like

(Oops! I mean to schedule this to post at midnight EST, but I hit "publish" instead, so I'll let it stand. It's not that early.) Although I like to dabble with Paint Shop Pro and Front Page and am learning (very slowly) how to make my own web page, I've not been satisfied with my efforts. Thus, I hired the same company where I purchased my blog template to design my own one-of-a-kind author web page. This is a popular web design company as I've been in their queu for almost half a year. But I'm willing to wait because they're really really good and affordable. I'm excited. One of my assignments (it's finally my turn - yeah!) is to give my web designer a few sites I really like that would be in the vein that I want my new site. Since this is Thursday Thirteen (I can't get the Thursday Thirteen Code to load today so bear with my plain text, please.) So, in no particular order, these are web pages that I'm going to show my designer to give her an idea of what I like:

I'm brain dead from the day job. (Pretend you don't notice.) I really do love to play with web design and I'll keep doing that as I have time. In fact, right now I should be writing as I joined Kelly's writing challenge, and I'm doing this. So my first job is to write. My second job is to sell my writing. Learning HTML and web design is just a hobby for now. Some day, I'll take a class in it so I can hopefully half as good as Judith Shakespeare and her staff. I love their designs. I found them through Weekend BlogHoppers, I think. If not them, then one of the Mommie's groups I'm on. I've seen lots of other nice designs, but if I didn't add your page, please don't be hurt. Either I didn't surf to it tonight, or it's just not quite the design type I want for my page, even if I love it. Sooooooooo, maybe in a month or two, I'll finally have a new web page. My blog page will remain as it is as I'm very happy with it. When it's done, don't worry, I'll shout it to the heavens. You'll know. :)
You'll also want to see what Amarinda Jones, Anika Hamilton, Anny Cook, Barbara Huffert, Brynn Paulin, Bronwyn Green, Dakota Rebel, Kelly Kirch, Molly Daniels, and Sandra Cox are up to, so make sure to visit them also. :)

Ah, I'm sooo clueless about this stuff. Learning a bit but not learning it FAST enough. LOL. Ever feel that way? Thrilled to see you list Three Wicked Writers. It DOES rock, doesn't it????

I'm sure you are going to have a wonderful site.
I wish I could build my own, but I'm scary when I try to do anything techy.

Holly Jacobs is cool. I like that one especially. I see a theme of bright colors, especially orange, reds, and bright blue. Very nice.
