Sometimes commercials can be really cute and entertaining. Sometimes they're dry and informative, but not too painful. And sometimes, they downright stink.
That's how I feel about the new Volkswagen/Volve commercials with Brooke Shields.
If you've not seen it, you don't want to. If you have, let me know if you agree. My family agrees with me.
In it, Brooke advises women not to have babies just for the love of German engineering.
Huh?
What kind of crapola is that?
It's downright annoying. It makes me want to buy any kind of car EXCEPT that one. It makes me want to lead a boycott against that car.

This is far worse than the Geico gecco that was annoying my friends and I so much we were giggling at the counter commercials showing gruesome endings to the little talking gecko.

I agree wholeheartedly, Ashley. It's even worse than the political ads that make me not want to turn on the TV.
I think the ad guys and gals at VW dropped the ball on this campaign!
And just for the record, I like the Geico gekko:) Don't really get the Caveman ones, but some are entertaining:)
Good grief! It's a horrid ad. It would make me not want to buy the car.
I saw it once and thought wtf was that all about. Made no sense and I was so distracted I didn't even realize it was a car commercial.
The only commercial I really like is the Budweiser one where the horse goes into training with the dog so he is picked to pull the wagon next time.
I think the Brooke Shields VW commercials are ridiculous and actually insulting if they think it will "entertain" us.
I like most of the Geico Gekko commercials but don't like the Geico Cavemen commercials.
The Progressive "Flo" commercials are cute.
