I Don't Do Mornings!

Oh boy, does this ever describe me. My hubby says it all - I don't do mornings, like Garfield the cat. I only do them extremely grudgingly for the day job or kids' activities. But I don't like it and I wake up slow - after SEVERAL extra snooze alerts on my alarm clock. I love to blog hop and so I read about a lot of authors who get up early every morning - some get up INSANELY early, like 4 in the am - to do their daily writing. Although I applaud their diligence, I just can't do it. Even if I go to sleep early the night before, even way early like 7 or 8 pm, I still have problems waking up. Especially if I'm trapped in a dream, even a bad dream. I'm an evening writer, after the day job. Or during the day if it's a day off the day job like a holiday or weekend. I MIGHT write early if I get to the day job early and sit in my car and write for a half hour or so. By then I've had my morning caffeine and have had a chance to become human. What is your writing schedule? Or do you even have one? Do you wake up early? Late? What is your preferred writing time?

Love the pic:)
My writing schedule is like yours. Evenings and weekends, unfortunately by the time I get done with work my brain is often fried and I slog along. In a perfect writing world I'd choose 9 to 5:)

I've been starting anywhere from 10:30 am to noon, and writing for about two hours. Then I start baking. On Tuesdays, I pick the writing back up around 5:30 until 7:30 or 8pm.

My all-time favorite sleepshirt read, 'Avoid the morning rush: Sleep 'till noon!'

Fit me perfectly...until the kids started school! Now I'm more of a morning person. Go figure!

I get up at the absolute last minute possible. I'm a night owl so mornings and I are life-long enemies.

I SUCK at mornings but I HAVE to get up. I have to have several cups of coffee to even BEGIN functioning. I hit the blogs, post my own, and then I start writing. Usually 9:30 or so and will write (usually) for a couple of hours, taking frequent breaks. Sometimes I'll do a couple more hours in the afternoons and I usually PLAY at night...chatting with friends.
