Did you hear about Travis the Chimp and how he attacked his owners' friend? How he ripped off her face. Before this, Travis seemed quite amazing - he not only drank out of glasses, dressed himself, use the toilet, but he could also sign onto the computer and surf the internet. He was famous because he starred in commercials. Could an animal be much closer to being a human? But he went berserk and tried to kill a woman. Even when his owner tried to save her friend by ultimately stabbing him, Travis wouldn't stop. How sad for everyone involved. Now the question arises, should people be allowed to keep chimps as pets? People go berserk sometimes, too. Then if those particular people hurt somebody, they're removed from society. Dogs have gone berserk, too. Several times within the last year I've seen newscasts where pitbulls and other dogs have attacked other animals and other people. Some have killed people. But people are still allowed to own dogs - even pitbulls in some places. I think there needs to be more research about this issue, but I'm leaning toward the side of outlawing chimp ownership, or at least restricting it somehow. I'm not totally convinced. If one case sways issues, then we'd be constantly flip-flopping. It deserves study. If it has been, and perhaps it has, I've not had time to research it yet. With two edits and three other stories breathing down my neck, I'll have to wait. BTW, I just got good news. Congratulate me again. My story "Simon Says" another M/M story has been accepted for publication by TEB. This is a comedy/crime story involving a murder mystery at a transvestite beauty contest. I had a blast writing it. It's publication date is June 29, 2009. It's been a busy day - do I have any other kind? Well, rarely. I visited my general practitioner this afternoon about my coughing that won't go away and about the blood sugar test. It turned out I've been having asthma problems, not a cold. So I got a breathing treatment and a different asthma medication to use daily for the next couple weeks. While I was at the doctor's office, I made an impulsive decision to buy a new diet supplement Bio Slim. I just took the first dose. It's fiber based so it's supposed to burn fat much faster and also help abate my hunger. So far, I'm not feeling hungry - well, not ravenous anyway. We'll see what happens. Wish me luck. You'll also want to see what Amarinda Jones, Anika Hamilton, Anny Cook, Barbara Huffert, Brynn Paulin, Bronwyn Green, Dakota Rebel, Kelly Kirch, Molly Daniels, Sandra Cox, Regina Carlysle, and Cindy Spencer Pape are up to, so make sure to visit them also. :)

Np - to the chimp question - it's frigging unnatural
Good luck wth the diet thing
Congrats on the new contract, Ash! About Travis...no, I don't think monkeys should be made into pets. I heard she gave him Xanex before he went berserk. Isn't that just for humans?
Congratulations, good luck and no, chimps are wild animals. But I thought that before this happened too.
