Ring Tones

I usually don't make two posts in the same day (be sure to read my post below as well), but I have to comment on this. My younger son ratted out my second son a few moments ago. A movie was playing "Don't Fear The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult, the theme song to The Stand which is my favorite book and one of my favorite movies, when my youngest tattled, "That's Keith's ring tone for mom!" I think my eyes popped out of my face. "What! How could he do that to me? I'm not that bad." Am I? So hubby, having a huge laugh, calls Keith and rats out Steve. "What ring tone do you have for Mom?" Of course, Keith said the only thing he could, "I don't remember." Then the hubby told him, "Steve says it's 'Don't Fear The Reaper'." Suddenly, Keith remembers. "Oh, yeah. That's because it's the only song in Mom's favorite movie." Uh huh. Like I really believe that. Most of my ring tones are American Idol finalist and winners' songs. I'm nicer (I think) although Stephi wonders why my ring tone for her is "Dead or Alive" as sung by Chris Daughtry. Hubby's ring tone is "Father Figure" (go figure - he's the dad of the family) as sung by Ace Young. Monica's ring tone is a Bo Bice song - I can't recall the name. Keith's ring tone is "What About Love?" as sung by Melissa from Season 5 American Idol. For my oldest son and d-i-l I have an old David Cassidy song "I Think I Love You" - I get a lot of strange looks when that ring tone goes off. My general ring tone is Kelli Pickler's "Red High Heels". My ring tone for people I don't want to talk to is Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" (even though I love the song - I'll have to change the ring tone before I can't stand to hear the song anymore). My dad's ring tone is one of the Kelly Clarkson songs - I don't remember which one. I gave "Nights on Broadway" to one of my good friends. I think that's it for the moment. Stephi wants me to change her ring tone to an old 60's song that has the title of her middle name if I can find it. So, what ring tones do you have? Or do people have for you? Or do you assign different ring tones to people? In a book I'm writing now, one lady has Elton John's "The Bitch is Back" ring tone for her (male) boss. :) I told you I have a weird sense of humor. Remember - scroll down and read my other post for today, the one about Romvets and leave me a comment about it, especially if you know of other military romance writer sites.

I'm boring...I have the same ring tone for everyone on my mobile(cell phone) - it's wind chimes

I went classical. When I had a cell, it played Mozart's 'Eine Kleine Nacht Musik' (sp?) the first year and Beethoven's 9th the second. Now hubby has one, and it plays 'Flight of the Bumblebees'.

I'm getting another one soon; Don't know what I'll put on it. If I can figure out how do download music ring tones, I'll probably have Daughtry...I love that guy:)

My husband: The Oompa Looma Song
My kids: The Imperial March from Star Wars (if they call it's trouble)
My Mom: The dramatic THX tone
Bronwyn Green: A quote from Princess Bride (getting louder and louder until it's progressed to a yell)
Carol Lynne: Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy
Everyone else: Honky Tonk Bedonkadonk

Amarinda, you're not boring. Not at all. I'm just too in love with techie gadgets.

I love Daughtry, too, Molly. I still don't see how he didn't win American Idol. In my opinion, he is the BIG winner.

Brynn - I like the Star Wars song idea. Our family loves that movie. Otherwise, it sounds like you like country western? I like some.

My kids would love your ring tone, Bron. And my friend Joellen. They love everything Buffy.

Anny - I didn't have ring tones for a long time until I heard my friend's at church. Then I went overboard, obviously.
