I'm down with asthma this week. I've been having trouble breathing for the past couple weeks. The past few days I started coughing. Yesterday it became really bad so I went to the doctor. I thought I had bronchitis or an upper respiratory infection. Asthma didn't occur to me. But that's what the doctor diagnosed and treated me for. I took a breathing treatment and was put on two medications. Then I went back to work - for an hour. I still felt poorly so I went home and slept the rest of the day. I went to work today, however, as I felt somewhat better this morning. As the day went on, I began to cough a lot again, and I had trouble breathing. Not as bad as yesterday but still not good. I arranged with my boss to stay home tomorrow so I can take a long weekend to rest. I stopped and bought enough groceries to last so I won't have to leave the house. The daughter who gets cabin fever is staying with her friends. The other kids are homebodies. Hopefully, I'll be better soon. You'll also want to see what Amarinda Jones, Anika Hamilton, Anny Cook, Barbara Huffert, Brynn Paulin, Bronwyn Green, Dakota Rebel, Kelly Kirch, Molly Daniels, Sandra Cox, Regina Carlysle, and Cindy Spencer Pape are up to, so make sure to visit them also. :)

Yet another meme
Before I forget or put it too far down in my blog so that it gets missed, I want to invite you to hop over to my guest blog article at The Hussies tomorrow, April 1st. Click on: http://thehussiesblog.blogspot.com/
I stayed home from work ill today and I went to the doctor. I have a contagious viral infection, so the doctor told me to stay home till Thursday so I'm not ground zero and start the plague at work. So here I am, in bed, playing on my lap top. The cough syrup with Codeine is making me feel somewhat human again. My throat was killing me.
Daughter #1 is on jury duty all the way in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, and she doesn't drive, so guess who took her and brought her home. Mom's Taxi Company at your service. Open even when Mom's sick. I could have let her take the bus home, but that would take her hours. And I'm not too thrilled with having her hang around the downtown area.
I know the Ft. Lauderdale beaches are famous tourist attractions, but downtown isn't the safest area in the world. It's obviously not my favorite place. I stick to our little city on the outskirts of the bigger metropolis unless I absolutely have to visit Ft. Lauderdale. Our little city has everything we need, unless we want to go to the beach...or get called to jury duty.
Miami's worse. I absolutely hate going to Miami and avoid it like the plague. The traffic is horrendous. Once we got stuck in a massive traffic jam and it turned out it was because traffic was being rerouted because people in Overtown were indiscriminately shooting at cars on I-95. Hardly anyone speaks English so it's like being in a foreign country. I used to work in Miami and I didn't hang around there. When we were preparing to move here, Miami sounded so exciting (so did Ft. Lauderdale) and exotic and I thought I'd hang out there a lot. Ha! Not now.
My mind is also a little fuzzy, but I made a commitment to blog daily, so I'm cheating with another meme.
Feel free to tag yourself and let me know if you post it so I can check it out.
When I finish here, I promise my editor I'll work on my rewrite. At least I won't infect anyone working from home on the computer. Aren't computers great?
