American Idol - Warning - dont' read if you've not seen yet

The David's went head to head tonight.

Simon says Archuletta won. So did Randy. (I wasn't sure what Paula was saying).

I disagree. Cook did.

Although I think Archuletta is a sweet, cute boy, I'm not in love with his voice. I'm not in love with his style. I wish great things for him and I'm sure he'll go far.

But Cook is the really awesome one.

But we'll see what America says tomorrow night.

Either way, I'll be first in line to buy Cook's albums.

I'll also be there to buy Jason's, Carly's, and Michael's albums.

Isn't Jason cute? Despite the dreadlocks? Maybe because of them? I like the purple glow.

I'm already in withdrawal. I won't see David Cook or Jason perform weekly. :(

Of course, I'll go back to Borders and write more, and go to the gym and exercise more again.

I'm sure you know who I voted for - I've only gotten through once. Who did you vote for?

OMG....watched Idol for the second time (first time was the finale of Season 1) and I totally agree with you! David Cook totally took rounds 1 and 3...I kind of agree with Simon on round 2...and I'm going to actually vote for the 1st time. D.C. is from Terre Haute, right up the road from me! Either way, both have great careers ahead of them. Look what happened to Clay Aiken (Rueben? Where did you go?) and Daughtry!

We're way behind on American Idol here in NZ, but I've been a David Cook fan from the beginning. I see a great future for him.

Yep, I'm with you. I prefer Cook's huskier man tones to Archuletta's higher pure tones. He has years yet but Cook is in his late 20s and needs the break. Plus he's just pretty to look at, ain't he? And Jason had a lovely quality to his voice. I think it contradicted the dreads--which I'm not a fan of but looked great on him.

I watched last night. While throughout the season I've been a David Cook fan, after last night I'm a little worried. This contest is too close to call. Their style's are completely different and while Cook probably has the popular vote with most of "normal" America...I'm afraid Archuleta has the pre teen vote and that's a scary thing! LOL! Those girls use every cell phone in the house as many times as possible PLUS the land line and then go down the street to the old pay phone that's hanging on the phone company wall!!! These girls have energy! We voted for Cook so lets keep our fingers crossed!

You know what stinks? They don't air American Idol in Norway so I haven't gotten to see it since I moved. There do have a Norwegian version, of course, but it's not as cool. There's no Simon to shake things up.

Not to get too off-topic of your post (who am I kidding, it's very far off the topic) but I wanted to let you know about a new e-zine that me and a few writer friends are putting together.

It's called The Oddville Press. We're just getting off the ground so our website is still under construction. Still, you should check us out if you're interested--or better yet, submit something!

Okay, back on topic here, I did get to see one show of Idol. They aired it one stinking time at, like, four in the morning. Jason is cute. And he was my favorite. Now he's gone, you say?

Crap.

I was really scared, too, Jan and Steph. At the day job, one lady has been an Archuletta fan all the way through. The other was an Archuletta fan but turned to the Cook side in the past couple of weeks - but she was worried after last night like me. My 17 year old likes Cook as she likes rock and roll, but she was scared like you that all the teeny boppers would vote for Archuletta.

For the first time in 3 years, I think the right person won - although I would've been extremely happy with either Bo or Carrie. Actually, I love Jordin - but I know Simon keeps saying Melinda should've won.

I don't know how you do it, Steph, not getting to see it. I'd be staying up till 4 am or waking up early to watch it. Don't you have a video recorder of some kind?

Yeah, Steph, Jason got voted off #4 which is pretty decent. He seemed to give up the last week or two.

I'll definitely check out The Oddville Press but tomorrow night as it's almost midnight and I have to get up early for the day job. I'll make a point to submit some things. Thanks so much for letting me know and inviting me to submit.

I hope the AI fans in my office aren't all hoarse because of AI tonight. I doubt they screamed like me. I can't believe I did that.
