I've got bananas!

I absolutely LOVE this song and David Cook. Tonight, I wrote at Borders for several hours, and while writing, I replayed this song several times. I can't get enough of it. It's so romantic, so sexy.

I LOVE Jason and his rendition of Hallejulah in Season 7.

Here's some Florida pictures my daughter took on the way to Borders.

We have bananas! Well, almost. Being from Ohio, it tickles me that I have my own banana tree. I planted it a couple years ago.

(Um, just tilt your head to the right until I learn how to rotate the pics). :) These really are bananas.

This is what the bananas look like without tilting your head. :)

This is a pic of a neat palm tree my daughter likes. I feel like I'm living on Gilligan's Island. This is so unlike Ohio.

We don't know if this is the same egret we photographed a few weeks ago, or if it's another, but we found it in the same place so there must be a nest there. I guess egrets like Taco Bell. (They're always beside the Taco Bell parking lot.)

I'll play with PSP tomorrow to rotate the pics so you won't get a crick in your neck.

Oh. Those are some great pics of your banana tree and the palm tree as well!!!!

As for David Cook winning AI. I was actually hoping David Cook would take second place and David Archuleta would get first. Not because I liked David Archuleta better, but because I think there's a good chance (and a lot of evidence) that the person who wins the title of AI and gets THAT contract winds up roped into a record contract that may greatly hinder their artistic capabilities.

I think that Daughtry is proof of the good things that can come to second and third runners up. And Eliot Yamin. Both of them came from the same season that saw Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee winning first & second place. Neither Taylor Hicks nor Katharine McPhee has had much success at all, and yet Daughtry's success speaks for itself, and Eliot Yamin has seen great things happen in his career as well. It took a little bit longer for Eliot, but he was also a bit freer to explore avenues that might not have been open to him if he'd been signed on a strict contract with Clive Davis.

I'm afraid David Cook may see his artistic talent subdued by Clive Davis's music writers. I would rather have seen him in second place, where he'd have all the recognition of first place without any of the tie-downs.

I love the version of Hallelujah too. If I can get a copy of it, I certainly will!

Kati, I hope you're wrong, but my daughters were with you. I see Carrie Underwood is doing great. Isn't Kelly Clarkson, too? And they said Jordin Sparks records went platinum so that sounds good, too. Daughtry's just amazing and I think he'd have excelled no matter what.

Barbara, I honestly don't know what that brown pointy thing is. I'm hoping it's another bunch of bananas that are younger. We'll see. I'll let you know. I've never had a banana tree before.
