ADHD Blogger

ADHD blogger here. Waving at you from very sunny Florida! 8-) At least I hope I am. This is a test post. Yep. It's the first time I'm posting through email. I visited the library Saturday, five days ago, and read blogging how-to books to get ideas how to improve my blog and blogging techniques. I wrote several nifty things in my trusty notebook. I was anxious to implement them right away and rushed home with itchy fingers. Although I knew I couldn't implement all in one night and maybe not even in two days, I thought I'd have more implemented by now, however. This, setting up my blog to post through email (so I can post when I can't go to Blogger) was top on my to-do list. I'm just now getting to it. Why??? Because I get distracted easily. Remember I suffer from ADHD. I'm sure of it. Four out of my five children have been diagnosed with ADHD and they have to get it from someone. I swear I'm at least ADD. At least 5,000 thoughts rush through my head every minutes. I used to think this was normal. I have to multi-task or I go crazy - or fall asleep from boredom. Saturday night, I jumped from one intended implementation to another. When I went to blogger, I got distracted by other interesting programs. When I went to Twitter, I surfed from link to link. When I went to Facebook...let's just say I've decided to plant crops in Farm Town that now take at least two days to mature and that I can ignore up to four days. I started to feel overwhelmed because there are so many applications I wish to learn and put into place. I still do. There are so many things I want to try. Last night and tonight I went a bit nuts. My plans to do anything on the computer have been thwarted by my daughter. First, she wanted to go to the library. And then she had softball practice. And then she had to stop at the store to buy a birthday gift for a party today. By the time we got home, it was 10:30 p.m. and I had to take my bath and go to bed so I could awake early today. Tonight started the same way. Sometimes I want to scream. I'm crossing my fingers that this works. I'll find out in a moment. :-D You'll also want to see what Amarinda Jones, Anika Hamilton, Anny Cook, Barbara Huffert, Brynn Paulin, Bronwyn Green, Dakota Rebel, Kelly Kirch, Molly Daniels, Sandra Cox, Regina Carlysle, and Cindy Spencer Pape are up to, so make sure to visit them also. :)

It worked:)

I ignore the applications on MySpace and FB. I have better things to do with my time than play internet games, no offense:) If you like them, great! I'd rather read or go out to eat:) I THINK I hit you with a pillow, though...

Joanne, I missed you and all of my friends at Lori's, too. I plan to be there next year. I've already put in for vacation June 2010 at my day job. No lie. My boss thinks I'm nuts, but who cares? How was it?

Molly, I didn't mean to get sucked into the games on FB, but I did with this one (Farmtown). So far I've not looked at any of the others even though I keep getting stuff about the mafia (?), vampires (?), little green patch (?) and I keep getting handed free virtual drinks. I will have to hit you back with the pillow. That sounds like fun and not too time consuming. Of all the games I picked, I picked the mellow one. If I had it to do over I'd do the vampire one, probably. Now I'm hooked and not willing to give up any more time.

Thanks Molly! I'll have to collect my drink and get a copy of your new release tonight. I wasn't able to get online at all last night.
