I finished the edit

This will be short and sweet tonight. I finished the edit that was due Wednesday (last week) and I turned it in tonight. I'm zonked and all written out for the day, but I feel good to have that done.

Daughter #2 took these pics earlier today on the way to Borders. Unfortunately her phone cam wouldn't zoom in closer. But you can still see the egret, right? I'll try to get more pics of and about town of our local Florida things to post.

Yay! Good for you finishing up. My daughter lives in Florida near Orlando. Interesting sights down there.

Glad you liked American Beauty, Amarinda - it's my biggest seller - that and The Perfect Gift and And Lady Makes Three. Thanks for the mention on your blog!

Aisha, thanks. I still haven't figured out how to send pics from my phone to my email. We have different types of phones. I'll have to experiment so I can do this, too.

Molly - does this mean you lived in Florida once?

Brynn - thanks! I hope my editor likes it. :)

Anny - Orlando's nice, but it's so much bigger than when I first visited when I was 6, pre-Disney. Coming from Ohio, Florida is much different. Flat, different trees, canals, saw grass, and exotic wild life. Of course, now I think hills, deer, and blue jays would seem exotic. The grass is always greener. But some of the wildlife down here is just stupendous. When I saw the egret, I told Steph to take those pics and send them to me.

My grandparents moved to St.Pete Beach in'76 and I spent 3 weeks there every summer until '87. Then had to be adult and work every summer...and grandma passed away in '95.
