Caution: Men At Work

LOL I shouldn't laugh. I really shoulden't. I know several men that work very hard and don't complain a bit: my dad, DS#1, and my day job boss. I've known others. Unfortunately, DH is one of those men who wants public recognition all the time when he does a little piece of work that's out of his normal zone. Like this week, he took DD#2 to school twice in the am because I've been ill and staying home from work. I've been doing this every day for years. But it's a big deal when he does this - like it doesn't make me get up earlier? Like I don't have to spend $ on extra gas? Like I don't get frustrated by the long line of traffic? Like it never makes me late for work? DH seems to think there's a different set of rules for him than for everybody else. Don't you just love people like that? Unfortunately, I've met others who suffer from this delusion. A lot of people thought Captain Kirk thought way too much of himself. I actually thought he was pretty awesome, even if my crush was on Mr. Spock, and not Kirk. So, as Denny Crane in "Boston Legal" nowadays, is William Shatner acting as himself as some people say, or is he poking fun of himself? Or is it really just the way the character's written? Either way, Denny is absolutely hilarious and sooooo very cute. But he and Kirk do some to kinda sort fit into the category of people who have a different set of rules for themself, or at least think they do. You'll also want to see what Amarinda Jones, Anika Hamilton, Anny Cook, Barbara Huffert, Brynn Paulin, Bronwyn Green, Dakota Rebel, Kelly Kirch, Molly Daniels, Sandra Cox, Regina Carlysle, and Cindy Spencer Pape are up to, so make sure to visit them also. :)

I love the sign.
Hope you're feeling better.
I read your blog and just shook my head. Some of the male species just can't take the pressure of a woman's every day world:)Let me rephrase...very few males can:)
Have a good day:)

My husband is like yours in that regard. Yesterday I cooked, cleaned, and served scratch meals for six people, did laundry swept floors, went grocery shopping, collected the kids. I brought meals to the table where the other three adults sat, poured and delivered drinks. Went to THREE stores to find the "right" beer for the two males. I cared and cleaned the cat. I opened the house up and then locked it up at night. I chased the kids down for chores, homework, baths, and outdoor time. I got them into bed on time and brushed all the long hair out. I looked after my mother and her migrane... etc etc etc and still wrote 2500 words. I threw out my shoulder in the process of this day.

That whole time the three adults sat at the table playing computer games and typing on their laptops. Scott got up, once, to record a television program for me. Then repeated how he had done it three times until i said "Yes, I heard you. Congratulations". He stormed off and refused to help tidy the house before bed. When I called him on it, he said he didn't think I needed help since he'd been busy all day. (watching netflix and playing mahjong)

Men.

I've known plenty of guys like this. I have a different situation, I guess. He's such a workaholic...big time. Problem with him is, he makes ME look really, really bad. LOL. He never, ever stops. Kind of like the damn energizer bunny.

Sandra, thanks. I'm on a medor pack (I think that's the name - basically steroids) and it's helping a little. But I'm still wiped out. DH did send me home early tonight from DD#2's softball game and he stayed and brought her home. But this is softball, so he'll do this without complaint. We had driven separately as he had to do something first.
